Solar in Olympia, WA
We're named for the tidal flats on Olympia's west edge — this is our home turf, from the west side and Cooper Point to the east side and downtown.
Mud Bay Electric is an Olympia company through and through. We install solar, battery backup, EV chargers and residential electrical across the city — and we answer the phone next winter when you call.
Solar built for Olympia's roofs and skies
Olympia gets real, usable sun in the long days of late spring through early fall, and overcast the rest — which is exactly why we size conservatively to your actual annual usage. Whether you're on a shaded west-side lot near the bay or an open parcel out toward the county, we model production honestly before you ever sign.
Your utility & incentives
Most Olympia homes are served by Puget Sound Energy (PSE), whose electric rates rose about 12% in 2026 with more increases filed through 2029. PSE still offers 1:1 retail-rate net metering (under WA review), and Washington's solar sales-tax exemption runs through 2029. We'll show you the real math — see the Olympia cost breakdown.
